In order to effectively manage your schedule, an assistant needs to have access to your calendar. Likewise, your AI assistant needs the same. The information she accesses is encrypted in transit, and we will never use this information for any other purposes. If you are connecting your email, it is solely to send actions such as rescheduling emails on your behalf, and we will never read your email (see “Do I really need to connect my email for a calendar app?” for more).
While Google Calendar/Gmail, may prompt that [MeetWithMe] can “Create, read, update, and delete drafts. Send messages and drafts.",” this is because Google groups these actions into a single “Full Access” permission set.
You cannot grant an app the ability to “Create” without also granting it the ability to “Read” or “Delete.” The word "Read" is included in that warning because the app needs to be able to "look at" the draft it just wrote to make sure the information is correct before it hits "Send." Without "Read" access to drafts, the app would be "writing in the dark." Having access to your drafts, do not allow us to see your inboxes or other folders.
For guests, you can head to your Google etc account and remove access anytime. For hosts, please note that this means that your assistant cannot see if you are free/busy any longer, or help you send emails for rescheduling.
