Just like when you tell a friend you’d like to meet next Monday, they will decide whether it’s an in-person or virtual meeting, and the host ultimately decides whether they will make the call or discuss the format with you. Similarly, in apps like Calendly, the host has different links that dictate preferences such as meeting duration (for example, 30, 60, or 90 minutes), whether the meeting is online or offline, which video-call platform to use, or whether to let the guest choose. If the link you receive allows you to book a 60-minute meeting via Google Meet, that reflects the host’s preference, which the assistant will follow.
